As we strive to offer the best vacation and fishing in Panama, we own an uninhabited island where our apart-hotel is located. This is an extraordinary place. Isla Parida Island nestled in the Gulf of Chiriqui and is part of Chiriqui National Park. The island falls under environmental protection laws, which have helped preserve its pristine flora and fauna. Moreover, since the island has never been inhabited, there are no human settlements – past or present. However, historical records show that in ancient times, when piracy thrived in this region, various pirate groups used this spot as a temporary hideout. They would repair their ships in the coastal waters, and it’s possible that somewhere on the island, Blackbeard’s legendary treasure still lies hidden.

Ecology and nature

Thanks to the absence of human activity, the island boasts pristine ecology. Even giant green sea turtles have chosen this stunning location for their annual egg-laying, giving our guests a rare chance to witness this awe-inspiring sight as hundreds of these ancient marine creatures emerge onto the sandy beaches. In the Gulf of Chiriqui, several volunteer organizations work to protect endangered species, including the giant green turtles. We believe one of our key responsibilities is to support these efforts, so we regularly assist volunteers in their important work.
